Psychotherapy is a key part of the process of recovering and managing bipolarity. It allows you to learn to better manage emotions, relationships and the challenges of daily life.
- Expertise in bipolarity: A psychologist who is an expert in bipolarity is in a position to offer advice adapted and specific to this pathology, thus offering more effective support.
- Collaboration with the psychiatrist: The psychologist works closely with the psychiatrist, allowing for better coordination of care. This avoids having to manage the medication aspect alone and ensures a global understanding of the elements related to the diagnosis and the various evolutions of bipolarity.
- Distribution of roles: The psychiatrist focuses on supervision, medication management, and diagnosis, while the psychologist focuses primarily on psychotherapy and speech healing.
- In-depth sessions: The 45-minute sessions provide a space to address issues related to bipolarity in depth and work together to find appropriate solutions.

We are not an emergency department and do not have the capacity to take care of people who need hospitalization.
We are aware that some people cannot afford to pay to be accompanied by independent psychologists and psychiatrists. That is why our community and our resources are free so that they can be complementary to other solutions, such as public services.

You can make an appointment for a problem other than bipolarity. However, we do not offer peer support in this context, i.e. you will not be accompanied by a person who has experienced a similar situation. As a result, some content or discussions may not be perfectly suited to your situation.
Payment is secured on Doctolib by bank card or in cash to be paid with your health professional. Carte Vitale and mutual insurance are accepted for psychiatrists.
All exchanges with your health professionals are secure and confidential.
If you cannot go to a consultation please let us know 24 hours in advance via Doctolib.
If cancellations are too regular we may refuse to offer you new consultations in the future.
We have health professionals available in Pau. We are also available for teleconsultation. If you want face-to-face consultations in other cities, do not hesitate to contact us at hello@hopestage.com.
The panda is a symbol of the duality of bipolarity, representing both yin (depressive phase) and yang (manic phase), while reminding us of the importance of finding balance. Bipolarity is often considered to be an invisible disability, similar to the white color of a panda that can go unnoticed.
We adopted the name “pandas” instead of “people living with bipolarity” because it allows us to maintain a light atmosphere and to de-dramatize things, recalling the cute and friendly image associated with this animal.
