To be bipolar is to play your life in hard mode. Find out how bipolarity can become your strength in defeating the boss.
Very often, when the verdict is in, we are completely disappointed.
Why is this happening to me?
Why me?
Why now?
A lot of questions that could be answered in a coherent way other than bad luck.
Indeed, being bipolar is above all a question of circumstances that come together to make the disease appear: genetic factor, environmental factor, addiction, stress etc.
We then perceive this disease as our worst enemy without even considering the possibility that it will benefit us.
Indeed, how would having manic and depressive phases be beneficial?
How could ending up in a mental hospital, losing your job, your friends, your partner be beneficial?
I admit to you, I too have long seen only the negative side.
But, today, are there people for whom bipolarity has created opportunities?
The answer is YES.
Other than me, I know other bipolar people who “surf” on this disease to get the maximum possible benefits.
Employment, friendship, love, money, all areas can finally be positively impacted by this challenge.
Because yes, it is a big challenge to live with this disease on a daily basis. And this, both for the patient and for those around him.
In this article, we will see if it is possible to transcend the vision of bipolarity to find benefits (sometimes well hidden).
And if the answer turns out to be positive, we will see how to do it as easily and quickly as possible.
So the program is quite complicated because I know that, for most of you, the answer is almost already seen in advance: negative.
But let me try to dig a little deeper into the subject.
Have you ever been upset in a store because someone just walked past you in the queue at the cash register?
I am sure yes.
Well, know that it's not an absolute obligation to get upset in this situation.
Other perspectives are available to you:
All these ways of doing things do not cause irritation or real conflict.
It's all about the perception of the problem at the base. And how we're going to respond to this one.
Besides, should we necessarily see all the situations that we did not want to exist as problems?
The question then arises: is bipolarity really a problem?
I agree enough to say yes.
However, there is a saying: If a problem has a solution, is there no point in worrying about it? If a problem doesn't have a solution, then worrying won't change it.
When it comes to bipolarity, know that there are a multitude of solutions.
So you can guess what I am about to tell you: there is no need to worry about it.
However, not worrying about it does not mean not taking care of it.
It's just a matter of keeping an objective view of the situation. Namely, you are sick, solutions exist, so you have to look for the ones that suit you.
However, this process is not easy. For example, it took me more than 8 years before I felt good and almost aligned with who I am at my core. I am still working on it every day and will do it again in 30 years.
This work is sometimes difficult, but let's face it, difficulty gives you something that simplicity doesn't provide much: satisfaction and pride.
Now imagine that bipolarity is a challenge addressed to you personally.
Once the challenge is accepted, you must, like in a video game, go through stages (levels) with a boss at each stage. Wouldn't it be more existing to see it that way?
Life would then be a game in which bipolarity would be one of the bosses to fight.
The only subtlety would be that you can't kill this boss.
But, instead of killing him, you have the opportunity to control him and put him to work for you. Awesome isn't it?
“We have life in hard mode when we are bipolar while others are in easy mode.”
The “bipolarity” boss is not a boss like the others.
And even once under control, it will constantly try to get out of control.
But this is where the game gets interesting because, the more you manage to apprehend his attempts, the stronger you will become.
By what means? You would ask me then.
Well simply through learning.
Learning your phases, learning your weaknesses, your areas of vulnerability, learning your means of action, learning your personalized action plan.
All these learnings make you grow and increase your power on a daily basis in the face of bipolarity.
But what's even more interesting is that all these learnings will be useful to you every day in life. Even when things are going well.
Imagine being in a situation that you are not used to being in. For example, you find yourself in front of a person you really like.
How can all the past lessons related to bipolarity become a strength in this situation?
Well simply because you know everything you have overcome, you know that you are capable of taking on challenges on a daily basis and coming out on top.
This means that, once this new person is in front of you, you will be able to identify the new challenge that is presented to you and seize the opportunity to take on it.
And for that, there is no need to panic since you have developed all the skills to manage crisis situations: confidence and self-esteem, crisis management, patience, perseverance.
In this specific example, all of these qualities are a solid starting point for the development of a healthy romantic relationship.
So here you can see how bipolarity, which is initially perceived as an insurmountable disability, can become the best opportunity to become the person you want to be.
A small point of vigilance all the same.
Be aware that the “bipolarity” boss, as we said above, will always try to get out of your control.
And I emphasize the word ALWAYS.
It is therefore important to be aware of it at all times and to remember that it is this particularity that can take you even further, every day.
Because, as we said, your strength will increase in proportion to your ability to manage your boss in the long term.
In life, there are two types of people.
Those who choose to say that it's all a matter of luck or bad luck.
And those who choose to say that it's all about opportunities and luck.
In both cases, they are right, because, regardless of the situation, it is our perception that counts.
However, the perception of a situation is chosen.
For example, personally, I may tell myself that my bipolarity prevents me from finding a job that suits me and thus having the finances that suit me.
But that's not to mention the fact that I firmly believe that we can become masters of our bipolarity and that I can also, thanks to this, create my own activity in the field that I like the most: coaching.
By the way, if you want to discuss this topic with me, feel free to fill out This form.
Disability then becomes an opportunity.
And even better, it served as a compass to discover what I liked the most in my heart and thus eliminate what did not correspond to me.
It can be the same for you.
To do this, I invite you to register if you have not already done so at HopeStage and to carefully read the guide sent to you, here is the link: https://www.hopestage.org/
This one is a gold mine for the bipolar and contains in itself most of the actions to be put in place to master your bipolar boss.
I had fun rereading it recently and integrating into my routine what I am missing, such as the improvements I could make to my day.
So take the time to read it calmly, to immerse yourself in it and to apply the advice that makes sense for you.
Conclusion
Throughout this article, we have seen how bipolarity can become your best ally and increase your inner strength.
A significant strength since it can take you to the peaks you have always dreamed of.
The point on which I would particularly like to emphasize is that of the perception of the challenge that is presented to you.
What will your position be with respect to your bipolar boss then?
I am curious to know what your position is on this subject.
So comment on your point of view and whether this article has changed it or not.
Changing your assumptions can sometimes be difficult, especially when you feel like you have nothing at all under control.
However, once the changes are made, the benefits are huge and bipolarity becomes an asset in your game.
